Arrived for my first day at 10am at Bauer reception and was greeted by assistant editor Ellie Hooper she then talked me through were everything was in the building e.g. fire exits, kitchen, toilet etc. Then was taken up to closers office on the 3^rd floor were she showed me my desk for the next, few weeks, which was on the editorial table. I as given a Closer pack full on useful information and was given a seating arrangement map of the office and then handing out papers and mail to everyone in the office. I was then given my first writing task to choose two top apps and write a small sentence to write about it & is featured in the magazine for hot off the net.

 INTERN

For the last few weeks I’ve been interning with Closer magazine on the editorial team.  I’ve had great fun learning new things and meeting new people. The publication Closer magazine which is apart of the Bauer media is located in Covent gardens on the 3^rd floor on the right hand side of building. Every day I travel by train and a sort walk from train station, my working hours are 9.30-6.00.

My roll includes:

·      Handing out papers

·      Breakfast run

·      Handing out post

·      Sending of new issue to other company’s

·      Running errands

·      Picking up phone

·      Answering emails

·      Choosing top two apps for hot off net

·      Online gallery

·      Back page of magazine

It gave me inspiration to do a themed mini photo shoot for the magazine and came up with ideas that would also mix in well with the piece of writing on identity. 

(such as scanned hands, faces, finger prints)
